Deletion is confirmed in Settings → Account → Delete account.
The account becomes invisible to other people, stored credentials are purged, active sessions are revoked, and the account on the Tempo PDS is deactivated.
Deletion happens over 30 days, in three stages. Here is what happens, and when.
Deletion is confirmed in Settings → Account → Delete account.
The account becomes invisible to other people, stored credentials are purged, active sessions are revoked, and the account on the Tempo PDS is deactivated.
The account can be restored at any point during the next 30 calendar days by signing back in.
Posts, profile, and follows remain hidden from everyone while the window is open.
The account on the Tempo PDS, along with Tempo-side data such as preferences, history, and linked analytics tokens and logs, is permanently purged from live systems.
Encrypted offline backups may hold residual copies for up to 30 additional days and are not directly accessible. Restoration is no longer possible.
Signed in through a third-party AT Protocol PDS? The confirmation asks for the handle instead of a password, and only Tempo-side data is affected — see “3rd-party PDS” below.
Email goodbye@tempomusic.app to request the deletion of a Tempo PDS account. Third-party AT Protocol PDS accounts must use the in-app flow — see the section below.
To prevent abuse, the Tempo team sends a verification challenge to the email registered with the account before running the operation. Ownership of that email must be confirmed by replying to the challenge.
Requests are processed within 15 business days, then follow the same three-stage 30-day process described above.
